A Twice Told Tale Pt.2

 "Shooting Star" - Hunter, 4th Grade

When I woke up this morning, my dad told me the coolest thing over breakfast. He mentioned that after I went to bed, he saw a shooting star from outside his window. My jaw dropped to the floor. That is SO COOL! I hope he made a wish on that star. On my way to school, I couldn't stop thinking about the miracle that was the shooting star. As I walked into the door of Mrs. Nieboer's classroom, I just knew I had to tell her. 

"Mrs. Nieboer, can I tell you a secret?"

"Of course Hunter, what is it?"

I got really close to her face so the other kids couldn't hear me as I conveyed this important information. "Last night, my dad saw a shooting star."

Mrs. Nieboer's eyes lit up. "Oh honey, that is wonderful," she told me as a huge smile spread across her face. I walked back to my seat and sat down. I smiled as I thought about how happy I just made Mrs. Nieboer, almost as happy as my dad made me when he told me about the shooting star.
